Installing flasher unit

LED's using less current therefore the blink rate will increase.  To solve this problem an electric variable flasher is used to slow down the blinking rate.  All bikes have flashers.  Most flashers are either located on the rear sub frame, next to the battery or fuse box, or underneath the instrument cluster gauges.

The provided flasher is universal and can be used on all bikes.  Most bikes are simple plug and play, some require minor modifications.  Will not work with Honda CBR600RR

3.   Connect pink (red) wire to the "B" pin on the
new flasher unit and connect the blue wire to
the "L" pin on the new flasher.
4.   Black wire is no longer needed.  Just tape
off to the side with electrical tape.
5.   Secure new flasher in a secure location.  We
recommend first placing new flasher in
rubber holder then connecting all wires as

INDICATOR FLASHER RELAY INSTALLATION –SUZUKI GSX-R600/750 K6-K7

After LED boards are fitted.

1.     Find the factory relay which is located beneath the plastics between the main and pillion seats.  It is secured to a bracket under a metal brace and held in place with a 10mm bolt.

To access this with any degree of ease the main seat and much of the rear plastics will need to be removed.  Your bike should look similar to the picture below.

 007

The relay is a small black box which should look something like this:

Relay plugged into connection.                      Underside of relay connection.

  1. Next the BROWN and LIGHT BLUE wires need to be removed from the connection to enable them to be connected to the new relay.  See picture below.  This is done by carefully pushing the copper connections out from the front to the back.  Alternatively, the wires can be cut at the rear, leaving the copper connections in place but freeing the relevant wires.  These connections are no longer required unless you intend to reinstall the original indicators at some stage.

                                                                                                                                                                               Remove these two wires.

Once this is done, the factory relay must be plugged back into the socket as it is required for other functions.

  1. Now the new relay must be connected.  Connect the LIGHT BLUE wire to the BLACK wire of the relay, and the BROWN wire to the RED wire of the relay.  See picture below:

LIGHT BLUE   ŕ    BLACK

BROWN   ŕ     RED

Ensure all lights are connected and test indicators.  They should now flash at a normal rate.

  1. Properly secure both the factory and the new relays.

Note:  You will now have two flasher relays.
